Southern Oklahoma will be well represented in this year’s Oklahoma Coaches Association All State football game.
On Monday, the OCA announced the All State roster, naming Plainview quarterback Spencer Somerville, Plainview cornerback Tyler Yakubchik, Sulphur defensive back Houston Haines and Davis safety Briston Summers to the All State team.
Somerville, Yakubchik, Haines and Summers will all be suiting up for the West team in the All State game set to kick-off July 27 from Union Tuttle Stadium in Tulsa.
Pregame festivities will begin at 6:15 p.m. and kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.

Briston Summers, who also started at quarterback for Davis, came back midway through the season after breaking his arm in a scrimmage to lead the Wolves to a 10-3 record and the Class 2A state semifinals.
In five games, Summers rushed for 781 yards and 13 touchdowns and passed for 222 yards. On defense Summers recorded 36 tackles.
In addition to being named an All-State safety, the OCA also nominated Summers to the Class 2A All Star team as a quarterback.
Houston Haines helped lead Sulphur to an undefeated record in District 3A-4 and the Class 3A state semifinals. In addition to his play in the secondary, Haines was a constant deep threat as a starting receiver for the Bulldogs.
Official stats for Haines, Somerville and Yakubchik were not made available by press time.
