Geneva Louise Cargal, 94, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018, in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, with Pastor Robert Peterson officiating.
Geneva was born on Sept. 13, 1923, in Durant, Okla., to P.A. Melton and Perl (McMasters) Melton. Geneva graduated from Durant Schools. She married Glen D. Cargal on June 18, 1947, in Ardmore, Okla. She worked at Stolfa Brothers Hardware as a sales clerk in the household side of the store. After her retirement, she and Glen attended and were devoted to their church, CrystalRock Cathedral. After the passing of Glen in 2005, she started attending New Hope Church of God. Geneva will be remembered as a prayer warrior, always lifting people up to the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, P.A. and Pearl Melton, husband, Glen Cargal, two brothers: Robert and Jake Melton, and sister Mary Mullens.
Geneva is survived by her step-son, Harold Cargal, step-grandson, Rusty, and special friends: Norma Vanderburg and Debbie Cryer.
Visitations will be held on Monday evening, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., January 28, 2018, at Griffin-Hillcrest, Ardmore.
