Springer was eliminated from the regional consolation bracket with a narrow 43-37 loss against Paden at Moss High School.

“We had an amazing season and I’m just so proud of everything we accomplished this season,” Springer coach Traci Dragg said. “We played so well defensively, but we just didn’t have enough to finish the game.”

Springer managed to stay even with Paden throughout the first half as the Lady Cardinals were tied with Paden at 19-19 going into halftime.

However, a 24-18 run by Paden in the second half sealed the game.

Jazmyn Powell led Springer with 14 points followed by Madison Mapp with 12 points.

Springer ends its season with an overall record of 16-10.
