A celebration of the life of Von M. Bray, 62, was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Michael Stephenson officiating.
Von was born July 10, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Von M. Bray and Francis Barton Harris. He passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, in a local hospital.
Von and the former Marilyn Kay Lemons were married Nov. 5, 1985, in Gainesville, and she preceded him in death June 11, 2014.  
Von worked for Oak Hall Episcopal School as the cafeteria manager. An accomplished chef, Von also was an artist, enjoying painting and sculpting. He enjoyed graphic design and singing. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.
Von is survived by his daughters, Kaylynn Lee Cook and Michele Ree O’Neal; son, Bailey Bray Cook; his sister, Deborah Hughes Park and brother-in-law, Chris Lemons; and his wife, Martha.
