Paul Watt left this world behind when he entered into his heavenly rest on March 9, 2018 in Miami, Okla.
Paul was born to John Glen and Edith Loring (Purden) Watt on April 28, 1920 in Yukon, Okla.
On August 14, 1948 Mr. Paul Watt took Miss Claudie Fortner as his bride in Miami, Okla. at their home church of First Christian. They have resided in Miami since that time, working and raising their three children.
Paul was a devoted and loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren and to many others at the Campus House. Paul was a loyal and dedicated member of First Christian Church for many years. He enjoyed volunteering at the Campus House. Paul loved gardening, raised bees and enjoyed canning and freezing his vegetables. Paul was preceded in passing by his parents John and Edith Watt, his wife Claudie Mae Watt, his brothers and sisters: Marion Schumaker, Lavern Watt, Wayne Watt and Patricia McBrien.
Although he is no longer with us, his memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends he leaves behind which include: three sons: David and wife Rhonda Watt of Lawrenceville, Ga., John and wife Donna Watt of Owasso, Okla. and Dan and wife Becky Watt of Miami, Okla., three grandchildren: Darci Gilreath, Breanna and her husband Ian Worstell and Joel Watt, one great grandson: Christopher Blakeley, his siblings: Marilyn and husband Bob Vernon, Donald Watt and Virginia Hanes, and a host of longtime friends, neighbors and church family.
Visitation is 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Services are Friday, March 16, 2018 at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church in Miami with Pastor Brian Brubaker officiating. Interment will follow at the McLaughlin Cemetery in Cleora. Services are under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
