Thursday afternoon, Plainview preferred to end things a little sooner as the Lady Indians won with a walk-off in the bottom of the sixth, winning 15-7 at the Plainview softball complex. 

Plainview got on the board first with Leah Selensky bringing in a run on an RBI groundout, followed by a solo home run by Kyra Treadwell in the first inning. 

Jadyn McKenzie made it 2-1 in the second when she slapped an RBI single.

Plainview pushed across three runs in the bottom half of the second through RBI hits from Selensky and Brooklyn Storts, along with Katelyn Rozzell scoring as well. 

Kaden Barton and Aleia Scott combined to bring the Lady Comets to within two at 6-4 in the third as Barton hit a hard ground ball resulting in an error, before Scott hit a two-run home run to center. 

A seven-run third inning by the Lady Indians saw Stephanie McKinney, Rebekah Mose, Britney Dunlap, Selensky, and Treadwell all register RBI hits. Selensky also scored on an error to make it 13-4.

Keylee Matthews got a run back for the Lady Comets in the fourth with a fielder’s choice RBI. 

A sacrifice fly RBI from Rozzell made it 14-5 in the fourth, before Dickson plated a pair of runs in the fifth through an RBI double from Savannah Hunley and an RBI single from Kylie Farmer. 

However, it was Tatum Brewster bringing home the winning run as she slapped an RBI triple to center in the bottom of the fifth for the victory.

Brooklyn Storts took the win in the circle for Plainview (2-3), allowing 10 hits with two walks and one strikeout.

Aleia Scott took the loss for the Lady Comets (0-5), allowing 12 hits with five walks.

Plainview will be competing at the Caddo Festival at the Durant Multil-Sports Complex today beginning at 10 a.m. against Bennington, before a second game against Colbert at 11:20 a.m.

Dickson will be back in action Monday afternoon on the road against Healdton at 4:30 p.m.
