She attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School and graduated from Newkirk High School, the class of 1966.
On June 29, 1968, Lucille married Bobby J. O’Neal. The couple established their first home in Arkansas City, Kan., and moved shortly after to San Diego, Calif., while Bobby served in the Vietnam War. They moved back to Arkansas City in 1971, where they raised three children, Deanna, Tracy and Jason. Lucille worked for the Gott Corporation (Rubbermaid) for 13 years. In 1993, Lucille and Bobby moved to Newkirk so she could have the farm she always wanted, to raise cattle and horses. After a brief stay on the farm, they relocated to Ardmore. Lucille loved to spend her time outside gardening, taking care of the many flowers and messing around with the cows and horses.
