After enduring multiple rain outs and cancellations over the past week, the Wilson Lady Eagles slow pitch softball team was able to finally take the field on Thursday with a doubleheader against Wynnewood at the Wilson softball field.

After enduring multiple rain outs and cancellations over the past week, the Wilson Lady Eagles slow pitch softball team was able to finally take the field on Thursday with a doubleheader against Wynnewood at the Wilson softball field.

Wilson managed to win the first game of the day by a score of 9-1, before dropping the second game 12-4 to the Lady Savages.

In the first game, Wilson scored four runs in the first inning, before adding a run in the second, before scoring three in the third.

The Lady Eagles finished the game off with a run in the fifth, while Wynnewood scored its only run in the bottom of the second inning. 

Morgan Nipp led the Lady Eagles with three RBI in the victory, while Ivy O’Steen finished with a pair of RBI’s.

Bethani Ross, Kristen Cornelison, and  Mikayla Raines also had RBI’s in the game for the Lady Eagles. 

Wynnewood took the lead early in the second game as the Lady Savages scored three runs in the first followed by five in the second and three more in the third. 

Wilson got its runs in the bottom of the fourth with three followed by one in the fifth. Ivy O’Steen had two RBI’s.
