Three Ardmore residents were arrested Sunday after a dispute over property turned into an altercation.
Ardmore Police Officer Lacie Collier responded to a call regarding the dispute Sunday involving Karen Louise Easterwood, 32, Lester Clifton Gardner, 44, and Shannon Michelle Hart, 23. After the officer’s arrival, Easterwood pushed and struck out at Officer Collier, allegedly with the intent to injure her. According to the information filed by the District Attorney’s office in Carter County District Court, the action was “against the peace and dignity of the state.” Easterwood was arrested on the felony charge of assaulting a police officer. If convicted, she could face a $500 fine, up to five years in prison or both. Easterwood was released Wednesday on a $2,500 bond.
Both Gardner and Hart were also arrested on misdemeanor charges of obstructing an officer.  They were each released on individual bonds of $750, having pled not guilty to that offense.
There were no reported injuries to the individuals or the officer.
