It was another successful season for area boys golf teams in all classifications.

It was another successful season for area boys golf teams in all classifications.

Several schools are represented on the 2018 All-Ardmoreite boys golf team list for this season as a result.

The Plainview Indians managed to claim a strong state runner-up finish in Class 4A this season, and have two individuals on the team.

Saxon Ross and Tyler Neher, who are both signed to play golf at Murray State College in the fall, will represent the Indians.

Ross finished fourth overall at the state tournament this season, while Neher placed tied for fifth.

The Sulphur Bulldogs and Dickson Comets also managed to qualify for the state tournament this season in Class 3A respectively.

Dawson Padgett will represent the Bulldogs on the All-Ardmoreite boys golf team this season, while the Comets will be led by Brandon Bell.

These two individuals were seperated by one stroke at the state tournament with Padgett shooting a 239 for the tournament and Bell shooting a 240 overall.

Also from Class 3A will be Lone Grove’s Taylor Pittman, who was the lone player from the Longhorns to qualify for the state tournament this season, in addition to also qualifying for the state track meet in the same year.

Representing the Turner Falcons will be Justice Hartman, who had the highest individual finish for an area boys player at state this season in third place overall in Class 2A. 

All of these individuals will be honored at the 2nd annual Best of the Arbuckles Preps banquet on May 22nd at the Ardmore Convention Center.
