Jerry Donald Nance, 87, of Ardmore, peacefully passed away May 13, 2018, of natural causes. 

He was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Tulsa, to L.W. and Helen Nance. He was married to his beloved wife Vada for 58 years and is now blissfully reunited with her in heaven. 

He is survived by his son, Steve of Allen, Texas, son, Kregg and wife Daniele, of Sarasota, Fla.; grandson, Casey and wife Jenna, of Plano, Texas; granddaughter, Kristen of Dallas, Texas; and great-granddaughters, Scarlett and Savannah; brother, Joe and wife Katherine, of Jasper, Ark.; and their children, Stewart and wife Grace, of Eureka Springs; Ark., Suzanne and husband Mark Cyrus, of Tulsa, Kathy and husband Mark Bentley, of Little Rock, Ark.; and so many precious nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

He was a lifelong successful businessman in multiple ventures who always provided well for his family and loved them even more. His hobby and passion was golf and he was truly an expert at it, winning numerous amateur tournaments throughout his life including holding a course record of 11 holes-in-one at Dornick Hills Country Club. A former college football player at Arkansas Tech, he loved sports and fully encouraged and supported his sons and grandchildren in their athletic endeavors. 

Jerry was tough, funny and fiercely loyal, but his big soft heart would make him tear up when recounting a treasured memory of a family member or friend. He will be missed by every person he ever met. His beautiful wife Vada died the same date of May 13 in 2011. Jerry visited her gravesite at least three days a week for all seven years in between. His final visit is now eternal. Funeral services will be Friday, May 18th at 1:30 p.m. in the Craddock Memorial Chapel, Ardmore, with Dr. Brook Edmonds officiating.
