Wanda T. Couch passed away peacefully in Katy, Texas, on May 17, 2018.  Wanda was born June 20, 1926, to George Howard Thompson and Lexie Leola (Batt) Thompson.  She grew up in Dillard, Oklahoma, and graduated from Wilson High School.  
Wanda moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma, and began her working career.  There she met the love of her life, Richard Couch.  They married Nov. 14, 1947. The two sweethearts lived in Ardmore for 65 years before moving to Katy, Texas, to be close to family.  
Wanda worked as an executive secretary at Colvert’s Dairy and the First National Bank of Ardmore. After raising her two sons, she worked as office manager for Clowe Oil Company. Throughout, Wanda served in many other roles including President of the PTA, President of the Delshanya Study Club, an officer of the Vestry at St. Philips Episcopal Church, and a volunteer at Oak Hall Episcopal School.  Wanda loved family and friends, and cooking for them. She was an excellent hostess.  
Wanda is survived by her two sons Richard Couch and wife Debbie, and Randall Couch and wife Sylvia, her five grandchildren Ryan, Reed, Logan, Ellen, and Alexandra, and her six great grandchildren Adley, Corrie, Jordyn, Elizabeth, Avery, and James.   
A memorial service for Wanda will be held at St. Philips Episcopal Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at 2 p.m. A brief reception will follow.
