Early Friday morning, Ardmore Police Officer Kevin Kropp responded to a call regarding a domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of G Street SW. According to dispatch, the male suspect had allegedly punched a female subject and knocked her unconscious. Kropp arrested Rowdy Parker, 21, of Ardmore on the district felony charge of aggravated domestic assault and battery. Parker also had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in a Marshall County case for another felony charge of assault and battery on a police officer. In the initial police report, Kropp said he and two other officers took Parker to the patrol unit upon his arrest, as Parker was uncooperative. APD Capt. Keith Ingle confirmed none of the APD officers were injured despite Parker’s combativeness upon arrest. Kropp transported Parker to the Carter County Detention Center for book-in.
Parker’s initial hearing took place Friday before Judge Carson Brooks. Brooks ordered a $1,000 bond as well as a no-contact order between Parker and the victim. The preliminary conference in the case was set for July 12, 2018.
