Katherine C. Fox was born Sept. 8, 1932, to Elbert Collins and Louise (Harmon) Collins in Carroll County, Miss. She passed from this life on May 30, 2018, at the age of 85.
Katherine married Billy Joe Fox on March 20, 1948. Together they had four children, Joann, Janet, Debra Sue, and Steven Wayne. She retired from State Farm in San Antonio, Teexs, and moved to Ardmore in September of 2003. She was a member of the Ardmore Daughters of American Revolution. Katherine dedicated her life to helping others through volunteerism. In 1952, while traveling with her military husband, she joined the Gray Ladies of the American Red Cross. She worked blood drives, candy striper training programs, air van units, TB centers, and any other needed areas. While living in Thailand, she taught the citizens English. She continued working as a volunteer with the Red Cross on the military bases whenever possible. In San Antonio she worked the annual Jerry Lewis telethon to benefit St. Jude’s. After retiring from State Farm in 2003 she moved to Ardmore to be close to her daughter and joined the Mercy Memorial Auxiliary. Katherine volunteered over 14,500 hours at Mercy. She served as president of the board several times and loved her hospital family. She served as an advisory council member for INCA-Rsvp. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ardmore and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Louise Collins; sister Sarah Lou Collins Theisman; and daughter Debra Sue Cauble.
She is survived by her daughters Joann Fox Copeland Beck of San Antonio, Texas, Janet Fox Logan and her husband Lewis Logan  of Ardmore; son Steven Wayne Fox and his wife Carole of Texas; and son-in-law David Michael Cauble of Georgia; grandchildren Michael Copeland and his wife Aimee, Brandon Copeland and his wife Andria, Ashley Beck Rehfeld and her husband Greg, Christy Ingram Godbout and her husband Greg, Larry Shane Ingram and his wife Mandy, Scott Logan, Darrell Logan, Gary Logan and his wife Ashley, Jordan Logan, Alethea Cauble, and David Cauble; great grandchildren Kaitlin McNinch Stringer and her husband Nick, Melanie Godbout, Joshua Cole Ingram and his partner Whitney, Kaylee Ingram and her partner Noah, Crystal Cauble Latour and her husband Steven, Ronald Cauble, Ella Rae Copeland, Amber Johnson, Neely, Minxi, and Xander Logan; and great-great grandchild Jordan Lee Latour.
A memorial service will be on Monday, June 4th at 11:00 a.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ardmore with Rev. Donny Custar officiating.
