Ardmore Police Capt. Keith Ingle said two local women were arrested Tuesday night on charges of grand larceny.
Paige Elizabeth-Ann Lester, 20, of Lone Grove and  Lola Mae Watkins, 19, also of Lone Grove, were arrested by APD Officer Larry Payne at approximately 10:26 p.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of North Commerce in Ardmore according to Payne’s incident report. The initial call reported a suspicious person, however Payne located approximately $1900 worth of stolen merchandise with the alleged perpetrators.
“The property was recovered and returned to the business,” said Ingle. Both Lester and Watkins were transported and booked into the Carter County Detention Center.
Felony charges are pending for both parties, however, they were not available as of press time.
Per Oklahoma State Statute, grand larceny is a felony punishable by imprisonment in county jail for a term ranging from one year to five years if the property value is $500 or more.
