While this past weekend was about fathers across the world, the members of the Ardmore Tiny Thunder certainly gave their dads something to be proud of deep in the heart of Texas.

The Ardmore Tiny Thunder managed to go undefeated at 5-0 during the McKinney JAM tournament which was held in McKinney, Texas. 

On Saturday, the Ardmore based squad opened the tournament with a convincing 36-4 victory over the DC Queens.

The winning streak continued later in the day as Ardmore won 54-3 against the Dallas Roadrunners, before finishing off the first day of the tournament in style with a third straight victory, this one coming against the DFW Hawks by a score of 55-14.

Bracket play began on Sunday, with Ardmore earning the top overall seed for the tournament.

The semifinals were of no problem for the Tiny Thunder as they swept aside the Dallas Roadrunners for a second time by a score of 48-1.

In the championship game, the Ardmore Tiny Thunder faced a rematch with the DC Queens and managed to claim the gold with a convincing 39-15 victory.

Head coach Josh McGee said of the victory “I am so proud of the way the girls played and this was a great Father’s Day weekend for me.”
