A Texas woman was arrested Wednesday evening on drug and child neglect charges from a 2017 case.
Kirsten Nicole Landeros, 24, of Whitesboro, pled guilty last year to felony child neglect and misdemeanor charges of possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. The felony child neglect charges stemmed from positive drug tests for Landeros and her infant born May 21, 2017, following an investigation by the Department of Human Services.
According to Carter County Court records, Landeros entered the guilty plea in October 2017, then reported for court ordered substance abuse services.
Court records were not immediately available to reveal the reason for Landeros’ re-incarceration, however records indicate she was previously released on a $25,000 bond. County Court records show that sentencing in the case was continued from the original January 2018 date. That hearing has now been set for July 26, 2018, before Carter County District Judge Dennis Morris.
