While the temperatures across Oklahoma have stayed at a high level, so too has the play of several local golfers when it comes to junior competitions.

This past weekend several area players traveled to Norman to play in the South Central PGA Junior tour event at The Trails Golf Club course.

Madill’s Macen Marris was the top local finisher in the boys 16-18 division in fourth place overall.

Sulphur’s Dawson Hinson finished tied for sixth overall, while Dickson’s Chase Hightower also claimed another top-10 finish as he earned ninth for the tournament.

Ardmore’s Ethan Moen finished tied for eighth overall in the 14-15 age division for boys.

Brock Daniels from Tishomingo finished 15th overall in the boys 12-13 division, while Brody Daniels earned fifth overall in the 9-11 age division.

Meanwhile, Ardmore’s Carrie Hutchings finished second overall in the girls 14-15 division, while Lone Grove’s Shelby Delano finished tied for fifth overall in the girls 16-18 division.

Carli Daniels from Tishomingo finished second overall in the girls 9-11 bracket.
