A Gathering of Remembrance for Larry Dale Zink, 75, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory conducted by Mr. Michael Apala. A time of visitation will follow the services.

Son of the late Charles P. Zink and Ruby Jean (Gordon) Zink, Larry was born May 17, 1943, at Fort Worth, Texas. He passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Larry moved to Ardmore in 1966 from Ft. Worth. He and the former Shirley Lee Lewis were married Aug. 5 of that year. They were married for 48 years, when Shirley preceded him in death, Dec. 30, 2014. 

A Supervisor at Michelin North America tire manufacturing company, Larry retired with 30 years service. An Ardmore Tiger Football fan, he was a ticket holder for over 40 years. Larry enjoyed fishing and watching sports, especially The University of Texas; in his younger years he was an avid bowler.

Larry is survived by his son, Robert Zink and wife, Toby of Madill, a special granddaughter, Landri Zink; two brothers, Eric Zink and wife, Debbie and Charlie Zink and wife, Janellen; two sisters, Mary Aaron and husband, Danny, Cheryl Carter and husband, Johnny; his special friend and companion, Susan Marsh; brothers-in-law, Chuck Lewis, Joe Lewis and wife, Coleta, many nieces and nephews.
