Graveside rites for Odessa Crosby, 93, will be held at 9 a.m. Monday morning in Rose Hill Cemetery with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating.
A time of visitation and support for the family will be held from 4:00 till 5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. The daughter of the late Earnest Fredrick and Mittie Elizabeth Lewis Argo, Odessa was born Nov. 2, 1924, here in Ardmore.  She went to be with her Lord on July 19, 2018 in Mesquite, Texas.
A lifelong resident of Ardmore, she was a graduate of Ardmore High School.  She and Bill Crosby were married June 20, 1942, in Ardmore, and he preceded her in death June 29, 2012.  She was also preceded in death by her son Bill R. “Reggie” Crosby, her sister Augusta Smith and two brothers, Raymond and Lewis Argo.
She retired in 1987 after completing 35 years in the oil industry.  She had worked for Schlumberger Well Surveying Crop and for both Quinton and Scott Little.  She was an active member of the First Orthodox Baptist Church and First Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years.
Odessa is survived by her daughter-in-law Gail Crosby, grandchildren, James Crosby, Tina Griffin and Blake Crosby, two great grandchildren, her great niece Marla Smith and several other great nieces and nephews.
