Last Tuesday, Ardmore Police Capt. Keith Ingle confirmed one fatality after an incident at a local cement company.
Early reports indicated the male subject sustained a head injury while assisting with loading. After some investigation, Ingle said the man was a customer at the business. “Apparently while helping his boss load blocks onto a trailer, he was in the blind spot of the loader,” Ingle said. “He was struck in the head.” Ingle said the man, now identified as James Berry, 45, of Thackerville, later passed away at Mercy Hospital.
