In their last competitive tournament of the summer, the Ardmore Lady Thunder Black squad didn’t just go out with a bang, they made a definitive statement in the process.

The squad managed to go a combined 4-0 in the Premiere Exposure Plus National Tournament, which was held in Wichita, Kansas on July 23-24.

To start the tournament, Ardmore managed to win 60-29 against the Della Lamb Running Angel’s Gauntlet Silver team from Kansas.

Game two wasn’t much closer as the Lady Thunder Black earned a convincing 56-22 victory over the Team Oklahoma Grey squad.

On the second day of the tournament, the Lady Thunder Black opened with a tough game against the hometown Next Level Eclipse Blue team, but overcame the hostile atmosphere with a 55-36 victory.

In their finale, the Ardmore Lady Thunder Black team took down the Oklahoma Magic by a score of 53-34.

“These ladies showed everyone in Kansas who the Ardmore Lady Thunder Black were this weekend,” head coach Josh McGee said. “There were very few teams who could handle our speed, quickness, defense and just overall athletic ability. I couldn’t be more proud of the way these ladies played and conducted themselves the entire weekend.”

The Ardmore Lady Thunder Black ended their summer season with an overall record of 15 wins with just two losses.
