Earlier this month, downtown Ardmore was shaken by a collision involving an allegedly stolen vehicle and the front entrance to the Colston building. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, but the building’s facade received some cosmetic damage.
While business continues as usual for the tenants, behind the scenes building ownership and management are busy getting estimates for repairs.
“Fortunately our insurance is going to cover the damage,” said Colston Building owner Lisa Beane.
While Beane does not have an estimated start date for repairs to begin, she did share a bit of good news.
“We were able to find a match for the granite,” she said in reference to the maroon stone that surrounds the front entryway.
“I didn’t know what we were going to do if we weren’t able to match that.”
