Ardmore High School is known for having a proud athletic tradition rich with success.

This trend also includes the Lady Tigers varsity cheer squad, who recently attended NCA Camp in Norman and came away with multiple team awards as well as five total All-American selections.

Captain Tieronay Banks along with Co-Captain Cambria Packard, Maliyah Johnson, Shakira Smith and Erin Long were all given the honor of being named as All-American selections.

In order to be eligible for the status, the girls first had to be nominated by a NCA staff member during the camp itself.

Then the eligible candidates had to showcase their jump and tumbling skills as well as perform a camp in front of the camp as a whole.

In addition to being named All-Americans, the five Ardmore cheerleaders selected have their choice of performing later this year at either the Varsity Spirit Philadelphia Thanksgiving parade, The Varsity Spirit Thanksgiving Tour, the London New Years Day Parade, The Citrus Bowl or the Varsity Spirit Spectacular at Walt Disney World.

In total, the Ardmore varsity cheer squad had 13 total nominations for All-American at the camp.

Ardmore walked away with 17 ribbons from the camp, as well as the 110 percent full-out award, a superior trophy and the squad qualified for the national competition in Dallas later this year.

The squad is made up of Captain Tieronay Banks, Co-Captain Cambria Packard, Maliyah Johnson, Shakira Smith, Erin Long, Britney Williamson, Brookelynn Andrews, Serenity Cohen, Dejah McGee, Paetn Mitchell, Beatris Ramirez, Angela Bruner,  Anahi Diaz, Zakia Archibald, Makenna Moore, Alyssa Martin, and Naughtica Douglas.

The team will be performing at Ardmore Tigers football games throughout the season.
