The Ardmore Police Department released a statement on Friday announcing the arrest of Ashley Marie Bock, age 25, of Ardmore. According to the release, Bock was a suspect in a recent investigation after her 3-year-old daughter was bitten and severely injured by a pit bull dog in the 1100 block of C St. SE on July 8.
According to the report, the investigation revealed that Bock knew about the dog being aggressive prior to the dog injuring the child and alleges that Bock was present during a previous incident when the dog aggressively knocked the child down and that the dog’s owner had to forcefully pull the animal off of the child.  The report also alleges that Bock knew the dog in question had bitten an adult a few days prior to the attack on the child.  According to the release, the investigation also revealed that Bock was allegedly at the dog owner’s home to use drugs, and refused to cooperate with the police investigation declining to pursue any charges against the dog owner.  Bock was arrested and charged with one count of child neglect.  She was booked into the Carter County Jail where she posted a $10,000 bond.
