Ardmore Police officer Nicholas Denewellis responded to a call regarding an auto burglary just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
The alleged burglary happened in the 300 block of E Street NW. According to Denewellis’ report, the victim’s vehicle was left unattended with the windows down.
APD Capt. Keith Ingle said it appeared an iPhone had been taken from the vehicle. Ingle said the best way to prevent thefts like this would be to remove valuables from vehicles and secure windows and doors when not inside the automobile.
No suspects have been named. The case is still under investigation at this time.
