For the Wilson Eagles, the 2018 season has started off with a bang in more ways than one.

Friday night, the black and gold moved to 2-0 on the season with a convincing 44-18 victory at Caddo.

Wilson fell behind in the first quarter off a Caddo rushing touchdown, before Logan Schaaf tied the game with a 64-yard touchdown run, before converting the two-point conversion to give the Eagles an 8-6 lead.

In the second quarter, Ethan Lowery got on the board for the Eagles when he caught a four-yard touchdown pass from Logan Schaaf, before Trevor Schaaf added the two-point conversion to make it 16-6.

Caddo would respond with a 16-yard touchdown pass, before Trevor Schaaf gave the Eagles some momentum before halftime with a one-yard touchdown run to make it 22-12 at the break.

After halftime, it was all Wilson.

Despite Caddo pulling to within four at 22-18, the Eagles responded with 22 unanswered points of their own.

First it was Logan Schaaf finding Carson Fulton for a 64-yard touchdown pass, before Logan Schaaf added the two-point conversion to make it 30-18.

Trevor Schaaf then got an 85-yard rushing touchdown to put the Eagles up 36-18.

Hayden Mantooth then sealed the victory with a four-yard rushing touchdown, before Luke Honea caught the ensuing two-point conversion from Logan Schaaf. 

Logan Schaaf finished the game 6-of-8 passing for 156 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 114 yards on 15 carries with one touchdown.

Trevor Schaaf finished the game with 164 yards on 13 carries with two touchdowns.

Mantooth totaled 87 yards on 13 carries. 

Fulton was the leading receiver for the Eagles with three catches for 99 yards and one touchdown.

Wilson (2-0) will continue its road swing at 7:30 p.m. Friday night at Thackerville.
