In their second meet of the season this past weekend, the Plainview Indians and Lady Indians made it easy for their opposition to find them.

All they had to do was look up at the top of the leaderboard.

Both Plainview squads easily cruised to their respective team titles at the Duncan Invitational meet, which was held at Halliburton Park in Duncan.

The defending Class 4A state champion Lady Indians finished with 15 points, well ahead of second placed Velma-Alma with 77. 

Meanwhile the Davis Lady Wolves claimed a fourth place finish as a team with 90 points.

Plainview’s girls occupied six of the top-10 places at the finish line, with Faith Lloyd leading the way in first at 12:52, followed by Hadyn Hobbs in third at 13:11. 

Jacey Keith, Deryn Hobbs and Emily Butler followed in fourth, fifth and sixth respectively with times of 13:21, 13:29, and 13:39.

Madi Turner finished in eighth overall with a time of 13:54, with Katie Wiggs finishing 11th overall at 14:15. 

Jamie Lanoy was the top finisher for the Lady Wolves in 12th place with a time of 14:29, with Jordan Brown and Jaylee Jennings clocking in at 16:11 and 16:30 respectively. 

Other finishers for Davis included Hailey Alexander (17:18), Kyla Birkes (17:21), and Morgan Scott (18:15). 

As for the Indians, they were able to win their respective team title with 30 points, ahead of second placed Duncan with 70.

Ethan Lollman was the top finisher for Plainview in third place, followed by teammate Michael Lloyd in fourth place with times of 18:05 and 18:10 respectively.

Benjamin Hicks finished in sixth with a time of 18:25, Josh Hottell and Lane Willoughby in ninth and 10th overall with times of 18:43 and 18:54. 

Sailor Heller and Trevor Honeycutt also ran for Plainview, clocking in at 19:09 and 19:54.

Ardmore also had several runners in the boys race, with Destin Sampson being the top finisher for the Tigers in eighth place with a time of 18:37. 

Taco Garcia finished in 11th overall for Ardmore with a time of 19:00.39, with Victor Gomez and Aaron Alvarez also running and finishing with times of 21:48 and 22:13.

Plainview will be running Thursday at East Central University before taking part in the LCC Meet on Saturday in Madill.
