Memorial services for John “Johnny” P. Robinson, 71, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Reverend David Daniel officiating.
Johnny was born Sept. 2, 1947, in Ardmore to John P. and Frances (Black) Robinson and passed away on Sept.10, 2018, in the local hospital.
A resident of Ardmore all of his life, Johnny graduated from Ardmore High School in the class of 1965 and attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He served in the United States Air Force and the Oklahoma National Guard.
Johnny married the former Shanon Stroman Feb. 23, 1996.
Johnny and his father spent many happy years farming peanuts at their family farm east of Ardmore. He also was a valued employee of Stroman Motor Supply as well as an electrician, working for several local companies in town, most recently, Lynn Boyer Electric.
Johnny was an eternal optimist, loved people, life, talking, and OU football, but most importantly, loved his children and family.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Johnny is survived by his wife Shanon of Ardmore; daughters, Jamie of Fairhope, Ala., daughter, Sally of Ardmore; son, Wade of Ardmore; sister, Sherrian Geurin of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Larry Francis, Dink Reed, Charlie Wright and  Will Stroman.
