While they haven’t had many chances this season to play at home, the Ringling Lady Blue Devils certainly made it count on Tuesday.

Kelsea Thompson made sure to send the Ringling faithful home happy as she scored a walk-off run in the bottom of the seventh, giving the Lady Blue Devils a 6-5 victory over Velma-Alma.

The win moved Ringling to 10-5 overall for the season, and extended its recent winning streak to five straight games.

Velma-Alma took the lead in the top of the first with two runs, before Ringling got one back in the bottom half of the inning.

London Lewis connected for a solo home run to left, cutting the deficit in half at 2-1.

The Lady Comets got another run in the top of the fourth to make it 3-1, and appeared to be in control of the contest.

That was until the bottom of the sixth inning.

Jacobi Miller made it 3-2 with an RBI single, before Meghan Roberts scored on an error to tie the game at 3-3.

Lewis then struck again with an RBI single to score Sydney Southward, giving Ringling a 4-3 lead.

Miller would score later in the inning when Steelie Price laid down a bunt, resulting in an error to make it 5-3.

However, the Lady Comets weren’t finished as they managed to score the tying run on an error in the top of the seventh.

But Thompson was one step ahead as a bunt laid down by Roberts led to a throwing error, and the Ringling victory in the bottom of the seventh.

Rayme Tolliver got the win in the circle for the Lady Blue Devils, throwing a complete game. She allowed two earned runs on six hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

The Lady Blue Devils will be back in action Thursday in the opening round of the Comanche Tournament.
