Madill — Ronnie Joe Hagood, 74, of Lebanon, Okla., passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at his home.
He was born on Mar. 29, 1944, in Orr, Okla., to the late Dolph Eugene Hagood Jr. and Melba Letha Furrh. Ron moved to Lebanon after his parents bought a store in 1958. He graduated from Madill High School in 1962 and then began attending Southeastern State University.
Ron joined the army in 1968 and was a medic during the Vietnam War, serving for four years. After his discharge, Ron finished college and married Karoleen Henry in 1973.
The two raised their family in Ardmore before moving to Lebanon in 2000. During his life, Ron worked as a seismic land man for 40 years, a job that allowed him to travel across the U.S. and make friends all over. His passion in life was his race horses and registered angus cattle. More than anything Ron loved and cherished his family and friends.
He is survived by his Wife, Karoleen Hagood, Lebanon; children, Alan Crook and wife Teresa, Lebanon; Danette White and husband Don, Ponca City; and Greg Crook and wife Mandy, Mannsville; grandchildren, Shara Kimbro, Edmond, Dusten Kennedy and wife Britney, Dickson, Tori Crook, Lebanon, Trace Crook, Lebanon, Makenzie Mays and husband Brandon, Mannsville, Morgan Crook, Mannsville, and Nathan Crook, Mannsville; great-grandchild, Allyson Mays, Mannsville; brother, Randy Hagood and wife Martha, Lebanon; sisters, Barbara Ruzicho, Columbus, Ohio, and Kay Muncrief, Lebanon; sisters-in-law, Kay Martin, Terrell, Okla., Kathy Stephenson, Duncan, and Janet Henry, Frisco, Texas.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers-in-law, Ronnie Muncrief, David Henry, Glen Martin and Larry Stephenson.
Visitation was held Monday at Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. today, at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill. Roy Vinson will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Lebanon Cemetery.
