Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta. Arrangements are under the direction of the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Marietta.
Bill was born April 17, 1939, in Shady Dale, the son of Jarrell Glen and Blanche Ola Brown-Hill. He passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 at his home in Marietta at the age of 79.
Bill lived in Love County most of his life except for the few years he and his family lived in Ardmore and Washington.  Bill graduated from Marietta High School in 1956 and worked in the paint, construction, and rental property business for over 50 years. Bill and Jerry Lynn Sykora were married over 60 years and had five children. After he retired, Bill and his wife Jerry moved to Woodinville, Washington to help care for their youngest granddaughters, and after many travel adventures with their family and long-time friends, Jerry and Julia Slaughter, they returned to Love County in late 2010.
Bill was a retired Oklahoma Volunteer Firefighter, a past member of the Marietta Jaycees and the Lions Club and a member of the Shady Dale Baptist Church.  He also served on the Marietta City Council for 12 years and volunteered with the Boy Scouts.
Bill enjoyed bass fishing in Mexico and catfishing in the Red River and Hickory Creek with family and friends. He loved football and was an avid Marietta Indians and Dallas Cowboys fan.  His biggest love and enjoyment was his family and he especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren’s activities.   Bill will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a kind, loving father, husband and PaPa, with a hard-work ethic and an adventurous spirit.  Bill will surely be missed.
Preceding him in death are his parents; a brother, Edwin Hill; and a sister, Wanda Dixon.
