Despite a stark contrast in overall records entering Friday night’s game, the Ringling Blue Devils weren’t about to take the Healdton Bulldogs lightly.

The evidence was abundantly clear as the Blue Devils moved to 5-0 for the first time since 2009 with a convincing 44-0 victory against the Bulldogs at Rick Gandy Memorial Stadium Friday night.

Chandler Roberts got the scoring started for the Blue Devils in the first quarter with a 30-yard touchdown run, before Duchaine Paul scored off a 48-yard punt return for a touchdown.

The Blue Devils finished off the first quarter with a 60-yard touchdown run from Justus Davis to make it 18-0.

Ethan Johnson made it 24-0 with a four-yard touchdown run before Kash Lyle added the two-point conversion in the second quarter.

Sam Van Buskirk then found Paul for a 19-yard touchdown, before Marshall Howell scored off a 29-yard touchdown run to send the Blue Devils into halftime with a 38-0 lead.

After no scoring in the third quarter, the Blue Devils finished off the game with a 64-yard touchdown run from Colton Pickelsimer in the fourth quarter.

Ringling totaled 351 yards on offense, while holding Healdton to just 45.

Alex Trent was the leading rusher for the Bulldogs with 11 carries for 27 yards.

Roberts led the Blue Devils with four carries for 96 yards.

Ringling (5-0, 2-0) is on the road Friday night against Dibble in district play, while Healdton (0-5, 0-2) will be at home against Walters.
