With their respective regional tournaments just days away, the Ardmore Lady Tigers and Plainview Lady Indians came together for a special contest Monday night.

Both the Lady Tigers Senior Night and Pink Out night were celebrated as the Ardmore players wore custom pink jerseys, while the Plainview players wore pink socks in support of breast cancer awareness.

As for the result of the game, it was a 16th victory of the season for the Lady Indians as they won over the Lady Tigers by a score of 18-2 in four innings. 

Brooklyn Storts got the scoring started for Plainview in the top of the first when her sacrifice fly RBI scored Taryn Martin.

Ardmore had an immediate answer as the Lady Tigers took the lead at 2-1 with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning. 

Makila Case tied the game at 1-1 when her hard ground ball resulted in an error, allowing Madilyn Molina to score.

Shakira Smith would score the second run for the Lady Tigers when she crossed the plate after Kalie Douglas drew a bases loaded walk. 

Brooke Castillo put the Lady Indians back in front in the top of the second as her bunt RBI single resulted in two runs scoring on the play.

Martin and Lexi Hackney then teamed up to make it 5-2 as each registered an RBI single. 

Storts would bring home Hackney on an RBI double, while Martin would later score off an error. 

Riley Grant would finish off a seven run inning with an RBI single to center.

Plainview would later score four more runs in the top of the third, followed by six more in the top of the fourth. 

Martin would finish the game going 3-for-4 with four runs scored and one RBI, with Lexi Hackney and Brooklyn Storts each registering three RBI’s in the game.

Tatum Brewster went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI.

Jenna Jennings, Leah Selensky, and Brooke Castillo each had two RBI’s apiece in the game. 

Grant got the win on the mound for Plainview, throwing four innings. She allowed two earned runs on two hits with one walk and three strikeouts.

Savannah Marris took the loss in the circle for Ardmore, allowing 18 hits with one strikeout.

Ardmore (14-17) will begin its regional tournament Wednesday at Guthrie. The Lady Tigers will meet Del City in the second game at 2 p.m. with the winner meeting either Guthrie or Santa Fe South.

Plainview (16-13) will begin its regional tournament on Thursday against Weatherford in Weatherford at Noon. The winner will meet either Harrah or Blanchard at 6 p.m.
