However, Friday night proved to be one obstacle too many against Waurika.

Despite staying close in the first quarter against their district rival, Wilson wasn’t able to produce its high-powered offensive attack in the last three quarters of the game, leading to their first loss of the season 38-6 at Skinny Stewart Stadium.

Waurika took an early 8-0 lead in the first quarter, before Trevor Schaaf got Wilson on the board with a 52-yard rushing touchdown to make it 8-6.

However, Waurika reeled off 22 unanswered points in the second quarter to take control of the contest, before adding eight points in the fourth quarter to finish off the game.

Trevor Schaaf finished the game with 25 carries for 121 yards and one touchdown, with Logan Schaaf totaling 24 carries for 73 yards. 

Logan Schaaf finished 4-of-8 passing for 88 yards.

Wilson (5-1, 0-1) will be on the road Friday night against the Central High Bronchos.

Marietta 0 

Revenge was not in the cards Friday night for the Marietta Indians as the Lindsay Leopards came away with a 29-0 victory at McClain Stadium.

While the Indians were able to keep the Leopards to a lower point total than in their playoff contest one year ago, Marietta struggled to find its offensive groove for the second straight game.

Lindsay got 15 points in the first quarter, before adding seven points in the third and fourth quarters.

Garrett Morgan finished 1-of-3 passing for 57 yards, with Nolan Birkes going 1-of-5 passing for 38 yards.

Carlos Whibbey was the leading rusher with nine carries for 45 yards, followed by Kile Ing with six carries for 32 yards. 

Marietta (2-4, 0-3) is at Kingston Friday night.

Healdton 0

It was another rough district contest for the Healdton Bulldogs Friday night.

The Walters Blue Devils struck early and often, leading to a 42-0 victory at Horton Field.

Breyden Turner scored the opening touchdown for Walters in the first quarter, before Josh Munn found Rylan Penn for a 30-yard touchdown pass to make it 12-0 after the failed two-point conversion.

Mann got his second touchdown of the game later in the quarter from four yards out, to make it 20-0 after the two-point conversion.

Walters got a safety followed by another rushing touchdown to end the first quarter.

The Blue Devils added 13 points in the second quarter followed by six in the fourth to seal the victory.

Healdton (0-6, 0-3) is at Elmore City-Pernell Friday night. 

Fox 38
Temple 0

It was a second straight victory Friday night for the Fox Foxes, as they improved to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in district play with a shutout victory over Temple at the Fox Den.

Jimmy Bivings, William Miller, Hawk Anderson, and Ethan Stewart all had touchdowns in the game for the Foxes.

Fox is back in action Friday night on the road against Thackerville.
