The Ardmore Homecoming Parade has been rescheduled due to Saturday’s weather forecast.
The parade will be moved to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16. Floats will line up in the First Baptist Church parking lot starting at about 5:30 p.m.
“Everybody else will line up between 6 and 6:30 p.m.,” student council sponsor Robert McGehee said.
The parade route will start at Ardmore Central Park and end at Washington Street. McGehee said he estimates the parade will take 30 minutes.
“We have 44 entries in the parade this year, more than double what I expected,” McGehee said.
A portion of Main Street will shut down for the duration of the parade.
“If (parade watchers) want to go downtown, eat and have a good parking spot, they would need to go early,” McGehee said.
