Narcotics officers served two search warrants Friday, netting three people on a series of drug-related charges.

Members of the Ardmore Police Department’s and Carter County Sheriff’s Department’s narcotics units and Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics agents obtained a search warrant for the residence of Ebony Williams, also known as Ebony Joy.  Sgt. Kevin Norris, APD, said officers had been receiving information about the 23-year-old woman’s activities at her Ashbrook Apartments Complex residence for several months. Recent information, substantiated by an investigation, enabled officers Friday to obtain the search warrant they needed for her apartment.

Norris said the search warrant yielded cocaine, marijuana, illegal prescription medication and items used by drug distributors.

“The marijuana was located in a baby’s crib,” Norris said. “The baby was turned over to the custody of a family member. However, the Department of Human Services has been notified and will conduct an investigation into the baby’s welfare.”

Williams was taken into custody without incident. She was booked into the Carter County Detention Center pending charges that include possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled dangerous substances Schedule Four (illegal pills), and a misdemeanor pending charge of possession of drug paraphernalia (distribution items).

A second search warrant, served at 425 Wheeler St., netted Haley Millsap, 28, and Bobi Ford, 31. Officers seized an illegal hand gun, methamphetamine, marijuana and items used to distribute drugs from the residence. Millsap and Ford were also detained without incident. The pair was booked into the Carter County Detention Center.

Both Millsap and Ford face the same set of pending charges, including possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. They also face a pending misdemeanor charge of possession of paraphernalia (drug distribution items).

Formal charges against Williams, Millsap and Ford could be filed by the district attorney’s office as early as Monday.

Once charges are filed all three will make initial appearances in district court.

Norris said both investigations were launched based on citizen-tip information.

“We appreciate all the information,” Norris said.
