Two injured in truck crash

Drunk driving is believed to be the cause of a crash Saturday that left a Tishomingo woman in critical condition.


Shannon Matheson was riding in a pickup truck driven by Terry Sides of Tishomingo when Sides veered off the side of the road and crashed into a tree. Sides was transported to Durant Hospital with leg and internal injures; Matheson was flown to the Medical Center of Plano, Texas, with internal injuries.


The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the crash happened 2 miles east of Little City in Marshall County on State Highway 199.


Officials believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
