Local funeral home to represent insurance firm

Equity Life Association announced Owens Ragsdale Funeral Home is representing them in the Ardmore area.

The company has been in business since 1927 and its headquarters is in Edmond. James D. Mueller became the company’s president on July 14. The company offers insurance policies to help families with final expenses. Coverage helps pay medical bills, hospice care expenses and funeral costs.

Company officials said the claim process is very simple.

They said they will begin the claim process once they have received an obituary or a phone call from the funeral home and will send out a check within 24 hours of  the receipt of a completed claim form.
