A Midwest City woman was transported to a Dallas hospital after she wrecked her 2005 Cadillac near Kingston early Friday evening.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Rodney Davis’ report indicated Melissa Kay Pietrowicz, 24, was driving northbound on State Highway 70B when she ran off the road, hit a ditch and overturned, striking a telephone equipment box, a fence and a tree. The woman was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected from her vehicle. She was air-lifted by Lifestar to Parkland Hospital, where she was admitted in good condition with head and internal injuries.

Her passenger, Christina Marie Felorca, 24, of Edmond, was wearing a seat belt and was treated and released from Integris Hospital in Madill.

Davis’ report indicated that alcohol may have played a role in the accident.
