Wrenn retires from Air Force

Tech. Sgt. Dion L. Wrenn, U.S. Air Force, is retiring after 17 years of active duty.


The 1989 Ardmore High School graduate’s final tour of duty was served at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colo. Throughout his career he served at various bases throughout the U.S. and overseas.


Wrenn received numerous awards and honors during his military career and graduated first in his class in a variety of specialized training classes, including Air Mobility, Hazardous Material and Aero Safe Maintenance.


Wrenn, his wife Zahnazha and the couple’s two children plan to make their civilian home in Tampa, Fla. The Ardmore native is presently considering new career options.


Wrenn is the son of Virginia Wrenn, Ardmore. His family will celebrate his retirement locally on Independence Day at the former Dunbar Elementary School.
