Jenna Miller has been hired as the speech and debate coach confirmed Superintendent Todd Garrison Wednesday.

The school board met in a special meeting Tuesday night to hire Miller.

She is a spring 2010 graduate of Oral Roberts University and majored in communication arts education.
Beginning next Tuesday, she will teach middle school and high school speech, as well as coach the speech and debate team known as The Troupe.

Miller replaces Kimberly Ruble who resigned in August and Brian Gunter who was reassigned in June.
The board also voted to change fall break from the scheduled Oct. 14-15 to Oct. 20-21 to better correspond with other area schools and to approve the estimate of needs for fiscal year 2011.
