Services for Donald “Donnie” Gene Ayres III, 36, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, in Watts Memorial Chapel with Todd Vargas officiating. Interment will follow in Pruitt Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.


Born Jan. 25, 1972, in Tishomingo to Donnie Ayres Jr. and Loretta Griswold Ayres, he passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, in Arlington Memorial Hospital, Arlington, Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Maxine Ayres, Leota Eddington, M.F. Griswold and Bud Edmonds.


Donnie grew up in Madill where he graduated from Madill High School in 1990. In 1995 he graduated from the University of Texas and started his own business working as a travel agent. He lived in Dallas, New Orleans, Indianapolis and San Diego before moving to Arlington.


He was a member of the Church of Christ in Madill and was baptized at the Pettijohn Springs Church Camp. He enjoyed traveling and loved his dogs, Maggie and Skylar. He enjoyed being around the swimming pool, feeding his family and loved his nieces and nephews. 


Survivors include his life partner, Richard Hullender, of Arlington, Texas; father and stepmother, Mary, of Madill; mother, of Madill; mother-in-law, Sue Ramey and husband, Jeff, Putnam, Texas; sisters, Christi Idleman; Brooke Davis and husband, Eric, all of Madill; Monica Tebo, of Clifton, Texas; and brother, Waylon Lott and wife, Amanda, of Madill.


Bearers will be Chuck McHatton, David McDaniel, Jimmy Atnip, Justin Ayres, Gary Don Ayres and Tyler Allen. Honorary bearers will be the Madill High School Class of 1990.


Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight, in Watts Funeral Home.


Memorials may be made to the Pettijohn Springs Church Camp or the American Cancer Society.
