LeAnne Scott, 40, lifelong resident of Ardmore, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday morning, Nov. 18, 2009, after her courageous 6-year battle with cancer, which she was victorious for five years, surrounded by her family and friends.

The daughter of Bobby Don and Louise Stidham Scott, LeAnne was born Aug. 10, 1969, here in Ardmore. She graduated from Dickson High School and received her associates in business from Murray State College. She was working on her bachelors at East Central University. She had already received a cosmetology license and had attended nursing school.

She was the officer manager for Dominion Finance and Shake and Bake. She was a former Chamber Ambassador and was a soccer coach.

She is survived by her parents; sisters, Cyndi Scott, Bobbye Hoosier and her husband Bo, Beth Gilstrap and husband Mark and brother, Donald Scott and his wife Jamie, all of Ardmore; her nieces and nephews, Tanner and Hunter Scott, Trevor and Sommer Byers, Trace and Trenton Hoosier, Colton and Seth Gilstrap; as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Calvary Christian Fellowship with Reverend Jody Ham officiating.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to the scholarship fund set up at First Bank and Trust in her nieces and nephews’ names.

Services are under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorial condolences may be made online at www.hdouglasfuneralhome.com.
