Graveside funeral services for Mr. William “Paul” Musick, 73, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Dixie Cemetery with Rev. Don Whisenhunt officiating. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling.
Paul was born March 21, 1936, in Claypool, to the late Mr. Albert Henry Musick and Mrs. Rilla “Lucille” (Anderson) Musick. He departed this life Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at his residence in Ringling.
Paul was raised primarily in Ringling, with the exception of residing in Arizona and California a short while. He graduated from Ringling High in 1955. After graduation, Paul attended Draughns Business College in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was employed all of his working years as a skilled carpenter specializing in cabinet building and was also a rancher. He and the former Ms. Barbara Jane Martin were united in marriage Aug. 17, 1956, in Dallas. Paul was a member of the Church of God Fellowship where he loved to sing and play his guitar. He also enjoyed woodworking and loved to aggravate and was known for pulling everyday pranks on his family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; granddaughter, Mandy Musick; and a niece, Kimberly Gail Herrington.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Jane (Martin) Musick of the home in Ringling; sons, Bill Musick and wife Linda and Ricky Musick and wife Misty all of Ringling; sister, Margaret Ann Seely and Jack Griffith of Lone Grove; grandchildren, Laurie, Mindy and R.J., Payton, Brett and wife Heather, Britany and husband Joseph; and two great-grandchildren, Johnny Ray and Camden; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bill Musick, Ricky Musick, Payton Musick, Brandon Martin, Jim Martin and Don Armstrong. Honorary bearers will be R.J. Vandver, Jim Allen, Jack Griffith, Tim Davis, William Applegate, Jim Melton, Tony Gayanich and David Gayanich.
Family visitation will be tonight from 5-7 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling.
