Graveside services for Teresa Cabello Anderson are at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Rosehill Cemetery with Father O’Toole and Rev. Bob Lee officiating.

 
Teresa was born October 15, 1919, in the Philippines to Mr. and Mrs. Cabello. She passed from this life on December 19, 2009, at a local hospital at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Frances Herring, and her parents.


Teresa married the late Arnold Anderson, Jr. in Manila, Philippines, on February 9, 1947. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1995. Mrs. Anderson was of the Catholic faith. Teresa was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to this area after the war.  She began keeping children in her home in 1970 and continued for a couple of generations. She loved life, the outdoors, gardening, and shopping. Teresa was very nurturing, loving and touched many families.


She is survived by her granddaughter Kristen Herring Iyer and husband Kaarthik  and a great-granddaughter Izabella Iyer all of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; special friends Mike and Jackie Carr, Craig and Meredith Ladd and Bret and Lori Flatt; and several nieces and nephews residing in the Philippines.
