Services for Betty Copeland are scheduled for Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jack Bettis of the Heavenly Heights Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery in Durant.
Betty was born March 7, 1929 in Hagerman, Texas to Joe Anderson Glenn and Thelma Mae Eidson Glenn. She passed from this life on June 30, 2009 in a local hospital. She and William Grant Copeland married May 24, 1947 in Durant, Okla. She was a member of the Heavenly Heights Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
She is survived by two sons, James Copeland of Ardmore and Bill Copeland of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Laura Van Buskirk of McCloud, Okla.; one sister, Bobbie Nuckolls of Maud, Okla.; one brother, Jerry Glenn of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Grant Copeland; daughter, Marie Park; and sister, Billie Mann.
Family will serve as pallbearers. A family visitation will be held at the funeral home tonight from 6-7 p.m.
