Services for Bobby Lee Weatherford, 66, of Healdton, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton, with Brother Robert Charles officiating. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Bobby was born in Healdton on Sept. 29, 1943, to William Pat and Nellie Mae (Jones) Weatherford. He passed from this life Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at the Healdton Hospital.
He was raised in the Healdton and Dixie area and married Glenda Sue Glenn in Ringling, on May 21, 1966, making their home in Healdton, where he lived the remainder of his life.
Bobby was employed in the oil field as a heavy equipment operator. For several years, and most recently, with Brady Trucking Company in Healdton.
For those of you who knew Bobby, knew his affection for Gold Wing motorcycles. He and Sue spent a lot of time riding together, and their trips included Canada, Alaska, and all of the lower 48 states. He was also very active in the local pool leagues, and would go fishing whenever he got the chance. He enjoyed Gospel and bluegrass music, and would play his tapes for anyone who would listen.
Bob loved the Lord, and is now in his presence. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Weatherford.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; two daughters, Anita Riley and husband, Michael, Burneyville, Okla., and Melanie Bell, Allen, Texas; and David Bell, Tishomingo; two sisters, Patsy Black, Paoli, Okla., and Linda Melton, Healdton; four grandchildren, Marli, Randy, Zachary, and Aubrey; and one great-grandchild, Lexi.
Pall bearers will be David Bell, Forrest Goodwin, Charles Bailey, Travis Shaw, Michael Don Scott, and Carl Maddison Davis. Honorary bearers will be Josh and Jeff Perry, Don Black, and Jimmy Melton.
Family visitations will be held 6-8 p.m. this evening, at the funeral home.
