Funeral services for Jo Linda Secrest, 52, will be Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Maxwell Avenue Church of Christ with Dr. Virgil Trout and Mr. Ron Benedick officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.

The daughter of the late Ray and Betty Jo Beard Keeton, Jo was born March 20, 1957, in Ardmore and passed away on the morning of Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, in a local hospital.
She and Jimmie Wayne Secrest were married on Dec. 30, 1977, in Ardmore, and she was the love of his life. She had been the office manager for Dr. Troop and had also worked for Circuit City Distribution Center for six years before she retired. She was a member of the Maxwell Avenue Church of Christ. She was a dedicated wife, mother and mia.

Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter, Carrie Sue Hatley and her husband, Robert Dustin of Ardmore; a son, Jesse Wayne Secrest and his wife, Camila of Dallas; two sisters, Debbie Kay High and husband, Clyde of Ardmore and Corliss Ann “Corky” Gee and husband, Ted of Boynton, Okla.; and her grandson, Robert Ty Hatley. 

Her nephews will serve as bearers.

A time of visitation and support will be held tonight from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Ardmore Animal Shelter or to the Ty Hatley College fund being set up at First National Bank.  The family asks that everyone attending the service please bring a can good item to be donated to local charities.
