Graveside services for John C. Vaughn will be at 1 p.m. today in Highland Cemetery. Born Nov. 11, 1945, in Ardmore, Okla., he died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, in Frisco, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Murtey (Phipps) Vaughn; and wife, Donna (Giles) Vaughn.
John was a member of the Durant D.A.V. His greatest love was being around his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Angie Strealy and husband Julio, Ardmore, Trudy Marlow and husband Shelby, Frisco and Melody Mealor and husband Brad, Ardmore; a son, Michael Vaughn, Longview, Texas; brothers, Raymond Vaughn, Etheridge, Tenn., Louis Vaughn, Duncan, Okla., Dan Vaughn, Ardmore, Don Vaughn, Lone Grove, Okla., Sammy Vaughn, Lone Grove, Frankie Vaughn, Marietta, Okla., and Ricky Vaughn, Pampa, Texas; sisters, Billie Shepherd, Durant and Lois Southerland, Lone Grove; grandchildren, Jennifer, James, Bristol, Bridget, Cameron, Trent, Henry, Kayla, Madison, Brittany and Dakota; numerous neices and nephews as well as many other relatives and friends.
